Exploring the spatial distribution of intangible cultural heritage (ICH) by geographic information system (GIS) is a new perspective. It can help to identify laws and characteristics formation evolution ICH further support development protection. This paper takes Shaanxi Province as research area analyse mathematical statistics using nearest neighbour index (NNI) kernel density estimation (KDE). The results show 1699 items distributed with obvious characteristics: geospatial not uniform; aggregate pattern demonstrates that has strong dependence; all high-density core areas sub-high-density are centralized around Guanzhong area; relatively dense in specific geographical conditions (plain mountainous an elevation between 160 m 800 m; plains valleys at confluence rivers or within 10 km river; semi-humid climate regions). We conclude environment most fundamental important factor affecting ICH, indirectly its generation, inheritance, through regional history, culture, humanity for long time.
